    (2x - 9) • 2 / 2 = 49 / 2

    simplify:

    2x - 9 = 49/2

    add 9 to both sides:

    simplify:

    2x = 67 / 2

    divide both sides by 2:

    2x : 2 = 67/2 : 2

    simplify:

    x = 67/4
