The percentage of sugar in a solution of sugar and water is 9%. 4 litres of this is diluted by adding 500ml of water, what is the percentage of sugar in the new solution?

    S:W = 9:91

    here 4 lt equivalent to 100

    initally, Sugar:Water = 36/100: 364/100

    finally, S:W = 36/100 : 364/100 + 50/100

    > 36/100 : 414/100

    sugar % = (36 / 450) * 100 = 8 %
