Mean is all numbers added, median is middle number when all numbers are in order from least to greatest

the mean is the average of all the numbers in a sequence; whereas the median is the middle number. When calculating the mean, you add all the numbers and divide by the amount of numbers; however, when you calculate median all you have to do is put the numbers in order and find the number that is in the middle
