    k=-9

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Given equation is

    3k-5 = (k+4) + 3k

    3k-5=k+4+3k

    Adding - 3k on both sides of equation we get

    3k-5-3k=k+4+3k-3k

    We know that 3k-3k=0

    -5=k+4

    Adding - 4 on both side of above equation, we get

    -5-4=k+4-4

    -9=k

    k=-9 which is the answer.
