If two angles are complementary and one angle is 6 more than twice the other find the measures of both angles

    Complementary: two angles (in this case just 2) add up to 90.

    Let the smaller one = x

    2x + 6 + x = 90

    3x + 6 = 90

    3x = 90 - 6

    3x = 84

    x = 28

    The small angle = 28

    The large angle = 90 - 28 = 62
