    x=-2

    y=3

    Step-by-step explanation:

    -3x+4y=18

    multiply by 2

    -6x+8y=36

    and 6x+2y=-6

    add

    10 y=30

    y=30/10=3

    6x+2 (3) = -6

    6x=-6-6

    6x=-12

    x=-2

    Answer: (-2,3)

    Step-by-step explanation:

    -3x + 4y = 18

    6x + 2y = - 6 we have to eliminate one of the variables so you will have ot

    2 (-3x + 4y) = 18 (2) multiply the first equation by 2.

    -6x + 8y = 36

    6x + 2y = - 6 now we could eliminate the x terms by adding them and

    0 + 10y = 30 remember that is a new equation.

    y = 3

    Now we know that the y solution is 3 so we will put it into one of the equations and solve for x.

    -6x + 8 (3) = 36

    -6x + 24 = 36

    -24 - 24

    -6x = 12

    x = - 2
