If you have an infinite number of red, blue, yellow, and black socks in a drawer, how many socks must you pull out of the drawer to guarantee that you have a pair?

    The worst case is when you pull 4 out and have 4 different colors. the 5th sock MUST match one of these. 5 is the answer
