Identify the center and radius for the following equation: (x+4) ^2 + (y-7) ^2=4

    This is the equation for a circle which without numbers looks like (x - h) ^2 + (y - k) ^2 = r^2

    This means that the radius is the square root of what ever number the equation is equal to. Since in this case it is 4 the square root of 4 is 2

    The center of the circle is baced off h and k. In order to find where each one of them go, you would do the opposit of the number that is with them. With this equation the opposit of 4 is - 4 so it will go - 4 in the x direction and the opposit of - 7 is 7 so it would go 7 in the y direction

    Radius: 2

    Center: (-4,7)
