    226.08 inches squared of each colour

    Step-by-step explanation:

    so to find the are of a circle you use the formula

    a=πr*2

    this is area equals pi (3.14) times the radius of the circle squared.

    area = 3.14*12*2

    =3.14*144

    =452.16 inches squared

    there are equal amounts of each colour so you know there is half red and half yellow

    so you just divide 452.16:2 = 226.08

    I think the answer is 24 inches cause the radius is 12 which if you multiply the radius by 2 you get the diameter so you would get 24 as the diameter and the diameter is half of the circle and equal parts of the sign are painted red and yellow so 24 square inches are painted each color
