    The perimeter of a rectangle is the double of the sum of the sides.

    P = 2. (w + l)

    P = 2. ((3x + 4) + (4x - 2))

    P = 2. (3x + 4 + 4x - 2)

    P = 2. (7x + 2)

    P = 14x + 4
