    X equals the number of aerobics classes.

    We create an equation to solve for x.

    Member Cost = Nonmember Cost

    8 + 2x = 0 + 4x

    Solve for x:

    8 + 2x = 4x (subtract 2 from both sides)

    8 = 4x - 2x (combine like terms)

    8 = 2x

    4 = x

    For 4 aerobics classes, the cost of members and nonmembers will be the same.
