Easy, just expand
y = (x-6) ^2-2
y = (x-6) (x-6) - 2
y=x^2-6x-6x+36-2
y=x^2-12x+34
y=ax^2+bx+c
a=1
b=-12
c=34

Y = (x - 6) ² - 2
y = (x - 6) (x - 6) - 2
y = (x (x - 6) - 6 (x - 6)) - 2
y = (x (x) - x (6) - 6 (x) + 6 (6)) - 2
y = (x² - 6x - 6x + 36) - 2
y = (x² - 12x + 36) - 2
y = x² - 12x + 36 - 2
y = x² - 12x + 34
