    2x - 2x - 3 = 2x - 2x - 5 subtract 2x from both sides

    -3 = - 5 FALSE

    Answer: D) no solution

    2x - 3 = 2x - 5

    That is because it they were to be equal to each other it would be either

    2x - 3 = 2x - 3 or

    2x - 5 = 2x - 5

    - 3 cannot be equal to - 5

    2x is in both the equation so they cannot be equal to each other
