Multiply each of the terms in the first parentheses by the second parentheses and add like terms. This is known as the distribution method.

    2x (3x - 2) + 1 (3x - 2)

    6x² - 4x + 3x - 2

    6x² - x - 2

Use FOIL or double distribute (Front, outer, inner, last) 6x^2-4x+3x-2 = 6x^2-x-2
