    The perimeter of a rectangle

    = 2 (length) + 2 (width)

    = 2[2 (x+y) ] + 2[3 (x-y) ]

    = 2 (2x+2y) + 2 (3x-3y)

    = 4x+4y+6x-6y

    = 10x-2y

    = 2 (5x-y)

Hence, the perimeter of the rectangle is 2 (5x-y).
