Suppose two trains leave a station at the same? time, traveling in opposite directions. Train B travels 20 mph faster than Train A. In 3.5? hours, the trains are 378 miles apart. Find the speed of each train

    assume the speed of Train A=x

    For that of Train B=x+20

    thus 3.5 * (x+x+20) = 378

    then x=44

    x+20=64

    So the speed of train A and B are 44 and 64 mph, respectively.
