The correlation coefficient between the variables are always between + 1 and - 1

If the correlation coefficient is near to + 1 the degree of relationship between variables is strongly positively correlated. And if the correlation coefficient is near to - 1 the degree of relationship between variables is strongly negatively correlated.

Hence at the extremes + 1 and - 1, there is a strong degree of relationship between two variables

Near to 0 (the middle of the range), there is a weak degree of relationship between two variables

So, the answer would the value the is nearest to 0 since we want a weak relationship

The value that is nearest to 0 is a) 0.10

So, the answer is a) 0.10
