Given the relation represented by the set of ordered pairs below, determine if the relation is a function and whether it is one-to-one. { (6,10), (5,0), (1,4), (-1,3), (0,14) }

    Since x is not repeated the relation is a function.

    In order to be one to one it must pass the horizontal line test. If you draw a horizontal line it will only intersect in one place. This will be the case if y is not repeated.

    This relation is also one to one.
