Solve the following: 5x - 1oy - 6y + 8x + 4=

    5x-1y-6y+8x+4

    8x+5x = 13x + 4 = 17x - 1y-6y = - 7y

    17x-7y = 10xy

    This is how I was taught to solve it. However, your school may do it differently
