    The equations are,

    3x + y = 8 - - - 1

    4x - 2y = 3 - - - 2

    Multiply equation 1 by 2

    Which gives,

    6x + 2y = 16 - - - 3

    Now, add equation 2 and equation 3

    Which gives,

    10x = 19

    From there, x = 19/10

    Therefore x = 1.9

    Now substitute x = 1.9 in the equation 1

    So the equation becomes,

    3*1.9 + y = 8

    From that,

    y = 8 - 5.7

    Therefore, y = 2.3

    So, x = 1.9 and y = 2.3.

    Okay?
