Lamar needs to find the sum of 3/6 and 2/4. Could he multiply the denominators to find a common denominator? Explain why he may or may not want to do this

    Actually turn the 3/6 into 1/2. Then turn 2/4 into 1/2. Add them you get 2/2 which equals 1 (one) whole.
