    The temperature inside Abram's house at 2:30 was 73°

    Step-by-step explanation:

    * Lets describe the situation

    - At 7:00 a. m., the temperature outside Abram's house was - 4°

    - At 2:30 p. m., the temperature outside Abram's house has

    increased by 11°

    * We will add 11 ° to - 4° to find the temperature at 2:30

    ∴ The temperature outside Abram's house = - 4 + 11 = 7 at 2:30

    - At 2:30 the temperature inside the Abram's house is 4 less

    then 11 times the outside temperature

    * Lets translate this words to mathematics expression

    - Start with 11 times the outside temperature

    ∵ The outside temperature is 7

    ∴ 11 * 7 = 77°

    - Now find the temperature that less by 4

    ∵ 77 - 4 = 73

    ∴ The temperature inside Abram's house at 2:30 was 73°

    -169 degrees

    Step-by-step explanation:

    It doesn't make much sense ... but let's answer the question anyway.

    First task is to determine what's the temperature outside at 2:30 PM.

    We know that it's 11 degrees cooler than it was at 7 AM, so - 4 - 11 = - 15 degrees.

    Abram's house is 4 degrees less than 11 times the outside temperature, so we can express that as:

    House = 11 x - 4 - where x is the temperature outside.

    If we replace the numbers we get: 11 * (-15) - 4 = - 165 - 4 = - 169 degrees

    Abram's house is an extremely cold freezer!
