Since the ball starts out on the ground before being kicked x=0. find the corresponding value for y, in feet.

    Now the equation would become : - y = ax² + bx.

    It says to find corresponding value of y when x=0.

    Plugging x=0 in the above equation : -

    y = a (0) ² + b (0)

    y = 0

    So, final answer is y = 0.
