What are possible solutions for 2X + 7 less than equal to 3X - 5

    We are given inequality:

    2x + 7 less than equal to 3x - 5.

    2x + 7 ≤ 3x - 5

    Subtracting 7 from both sides, we get

    2x + 7-7 ≤ 3x - 5-7

    2x ≤ 3x - 12.

    Subtracting 3x from both sides, we get

    2x-3x ≤ 3x - 3x - 12

    -x ≤ - 12.

    Dividing both sides by - 1. we get

    x ≥ 12.

    Note: When we multiply or divide be a negative number the inequality sign get flip.

    Therefore, x is greater than or equal to 12.
