Given
3x + 4 = 10x - 10
First, we delete 10x on the right side by minus 10x on the both sides.
3x + 4 - 10x = 10x - 10 - 10x
-7x + 4 = - 10
Then, we delete 4 on the left side by minus 4 on the both sides.
-7x + 4 - 4 = - 10 - 4
-7x = - 14
Next, we divide on the both sides by - 7, so we can find x.
-7x/-7 = - 14/-7
x = 2
Yes, the answer is x = 2.
