Express 2:40 p. m as 14:40 because you can just add 12 hours, like on a 24 hour clock. Then subtract 11:20 from 14:40 to get 3:20.

This is the number of hours traveled, so to find the number of minutes, multiply 3 by 60 then add 20 to get 200 minutes.
