How do I solve for y in the equation 2 (3/4) + y=4?

    Yea the other person is right ... the answer is Y = 2.5 or 5/2 or 2 1/2

    2 *.75 + y = 4

    1.5 + y = 4

    Subtract 1.5 From Each Side

    Y = 2.5 Or 2 1/2
