Stephanie wants to transfer the soil from a rectangular pot measuring 4 inches 5 inches 3 inches into a cylindershaped pot. The soil in both pots should be leveled to the top. What should be the volume of the cylindrical pot?

    rectangular pot measuring 4 inches x 5 inches x 3 inches, So,

    Volume = 4 x 5 x 3 = 60 inch^3,

    and

    volume of cylinder = 60 inch^3,

    Let,

    radius = height = h inches,

    So,

    pi x h^2 x h = 60, = => h^3 = 60/pi = 19.0986 inches^3

    So,

    radius = height = (19.0986) ^1/3 = 2.673 inches
