First you have to distribute on the left side of the equation. - 5 (-6m) and - 5 (8) to get - 220=30m-40. Next you have to get m by itself by adding 40 to each side of the equation to get - 180=30m. Lastly you will divide both sides by 30 to get - 6=m.
