To answer this item, we let the number of small, medium, and large popcorns sold be equal to x, y, and z such that the total amount that can be obtained from the sales is,

2x + 3y + 4z = total sales

If the 9p is the total number of popcorns sold, the equation is,

x + y + z = 9p
