    F (x) = 4x + 3

    the domain: Df = R

    g (x) = - 2x + 5

    the domain: Dg = R

    Df = Dg therefore (f · g) (x) = f (x) · g (x)

    f (5) = 4 · 5 + 3 = 20 + 3 = 23

    g (5) = - 2 · 5 + 5 = - 10 + 5 = - 5

    (f · g) (5) = f (5) · g (5) = 23 · (-5) = - 115
