At a harvest, 16 ears of corn are being picked every 18 peppers. If 9 peppers have been picked, out many ears of corn have been picked?

    8 ears of corn have been picked.

    We know:

    16 : 18

    and

    X : 9

    Divide 16 by 2 (because 18 / 2 = 9)

    16 / 2 = 8

    8 : 9
