First add the fives. That's equal 10-5+6-6+999-888+1-889. Then subtract 5. Equals 5. Don't even do add 6 minus 6 because it's 0. 5+999-888+1-889 turns into 1004-888 is 116. 116+1 is 117. 117 - 889 is - (negitive) 772.
