A farmer decides to sell 16 pounds of his small 48 pound potato crop. What percent of the crop did he sell? Write a proportion.

    Take 100 divided by 48 times 16 and that's your answer

    When finding percents, just divide. So if you need 16 put of 48, do 16/48=.333

    That means he sold about 33% of his crop
