Subtract 3y from both sides y+6 - 3y = 3y + 26 - 3y - 2y + 6 = 26 then subtract 6 from both sides - 2y + 6 - 6 = 26-6 - 2y = 20 then divide both sides by - 2. - 2y/-2 = 20/-2.
y=-10
