A rectangle has a length of 8 ft and a width of 6 ft. If its length and width are each increased 50%, what is the area of the new rectangle?

    8*6=48

    50% = 1/2

    48 / 1/2 = 24ft square. You put square because you are doing area. Square = Area, 3 = Volume
