-8 * 1.2 = - 9.6
first see if the the two numbers have the same signs or different signs, since this equation has different signs the answer will be negative. So now the last thing you have to do is multiply 8 by 1.2 which is 9.6. now all you do is add the negative sign so now your answer is - 9.6
