The measure of an angle is 1/4 the measure of its complement. Find the measure of each angle

    Lets name the 1/4 the measure of its complement x.

    complement means they add up to 90.

    so both angles add up to 90 and one is 1/4 the other.

    so if we set x = 1 the complement is 4x. together they make 5.

    90/5=18

    so one angle is 18 and the other is 72.
