Lets say you can go on 'x' number of times

If every time it takes 2min to prepare for the ride and the ride itself takes 1 and 1/2 min, then both together would be

    2min + 1 and 1/2 min = 3 and 1/2 min

    Now divide from 30

    30 / (7/2) #notice I changed 3 and 1/2 to 7/2 so they are the same denominator

= 30 * 2/7 # when dividing by a fraction, you can multiply the numerator by the reverse of the bottom fraction

    = 60/7

This number can not be simplified. However the number of full rides would be 8 times

    7*8 = 56

Now the remaining 4/7 times ... isn't possible! You can't go on a ride less than one time!

    So the answer is 8!

    8 or 8 1/2 because you won't finish the ride due to 28 + 3 1/2 being odd
