The dimensions of a rectangle can be given by x+7 and x+2. If the area of the area of the rectangle is 66 square inches, what are the dimensions of the rectangle?

    (x+7) (x+2) = 66

    x²+9x+14=66

    x²+9x-52=0

    (x-4) (x+13) = 0

    x=4 or x=-13

    x cannot be negative, so the only answer is x=4

    the length is 11 and the width is 6
