Five years ago, there were 500 live insects on display at a museum. Today, there are 150% more insects displayed throughout the exhibit. How many insects are displayed in the museum today?

    Basically we do

    500 + 150% of 500

    x/500 = 150/100

    75000 = 100x

    x = 750

    500 + 750 = 1250

    1250 insects are displaying in the museum today.
