    4 (2x + 3) = 2 (3x - 4)

    8x + 12 = 6x - 8

    8x - 6x = - 8 - 12

    2x = - 20

    x = - 20/2

    x = - 10 ... if u get a variable equal to a number, then there is 1 solution

    if u would have ended up with 0 = 0 or 5 = 5 ... or something that is equal, then there would be infinite solutions.

    if u would have ended up with 2 = 3, or 5 = 7 ... or something unequal, then there would have been no solution.
