    Solve for the simplest varibale in terms of the other varible. Then use the substitution method to solve for the other variable. Finally solve for the first variable in terms of a coefficient.

    In this case, we will solve for x in terms of y, substitute that value into the other equation by writing it in terms of y. Solve for y. Substitute y as a coefficient into the first equation to solve for x.

    x-9y=25

    x=25+9y

    6x-5y=3

    6 (25+9y) - 5y=3

    150+54y-5y=3

    49y=-147

    y=-3

    x-9 (-3) = 25

    x+27=25

    x=-2

    x=-2, y=-3
