v (v - 1) - 2 (1 - v):
Note 1 - v = - (v-1)
v (v - 1) - 2 (1 - v)
v (v - 1) - 2 ( - (v - 1))
v (v - 1) + 2 (v - 1)
(v + 2) (v - 1)
