A building in a city has a rectangular base. The length of the base measures 60 ft less than twicetwice the width. The perimeter of this base is 810 ft. What are the dimensions of the base

    4w-65 = 455

    4w = 520

    w = 130 feet (width)

    Length then:

    3w-65 = 3 (130) - 65 = 390-65 = 325 feet (length)
