    Subsitute 6x for y since they are equal

    6x=5x+7

    subtract 5x form both sides

    6x-5x=5x-5x+7

    x (6-5) = x (5-5) + 7

    x (1) = x (0) + 7

    x=0+7

    x=7

    subsitute 7 for x

    6 (7) = y

    42=y

    x=7

    y=42 the answer to the universe
