    10x-1 = (2x + 1) ^2

    10x-1 = 4x^2 + 4x + 1

    subtract 4x^2 + 4x + 1 from both sides

    -4x^2 + 6x - 2 = 0

    -2 (2x-1) (x-1) = 0

    2x-1=0; x-1=0

    x=1/2 x=1
