When Jim went to The Supreme Steak House, he had a meal costing $32.92. If the tax on the meal was 5%, what was the total cost of the meal? Round to the nearest cent.

    Take the total cost of the meal ($32.92) and multiply it by 5% (.05)

    once you multiply those together you get how much tax is which is $1.65 (rounded up from 1.646)

    now add that to your total and you get $34.57.
