y2 - 5y - 3 = 0

    Y^2-5y-3=0

    In this equation, a=1, b=-5, c=-3

    So discriminant d = b^2-4ac

    d = (-5) ^2-4 (1) (-3)

    d=25+12

    d=37

    Since d>0 then there exists two different real roots
