How would I write 21/8 as a mixed number?

Divide 21 by 8. and then whatever the reminder comes will go as the whole number
and the reminder will be the numerator and the number 8 will be the denominator.
the answer is 2 5/8
2 is the whole number, 5 is the numerator and 8 is the denominator

quotient=2 and remainder=5. So quotient will be whole number and remainder will be numerator. Also 8 will be the denominator.
